PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
Goods vehicle operator’s licence
ATF General Dealer of 22 Malabar Road Truro Cornwall TR1 3NU is applying for a licence to use 2 Burrows Farm Blackwater Truro TR4 8HN as an operating centre for one goods vehicles.
Owners or occupiers of land (including buildings) near the operating centres who believe that their use or enjoyment of that land would be affected, should make written representations to the Traffic Commissioner at Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE stating their reasons, within 21 days of September 11.
Representors must at the same time send a copy of their representations to the applicant at the address given at the top of this notice.
Road closure
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Bodmin. This prohibition is necessary for drainage repair works and it is expected that the closure will be from September 29 to October 1.
The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only.
Road affected - Ladder Lane, Bodmin from junction with Fletchersbridge Hill to Park Farm.
Speed restriction extended
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council is continuing to impose a temporary speed restriction of 30mph over an area of highway being Roche Road, Route Of New A391.
The Council is satisfied that this further restriction if necessary owing to engineering difficulties and the Order is needed because of the likelihood of danger to the workforce during works to finish St Austell to A30 Link Road. The Order which commenced on the June 13 and is currently in force for up to eighteen months will now continue until September 30.
