PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
NEWQUAY: There is set to be a temporary one way traffic order on Cliff Road between the junction with Narrowcliff with Edgecumbe Avenue and the Cliff Road junction with Oakleigh Terrace in an easterly to westerly direction.
The implementation of the one-way traffic order is because highway imporovement areas are being executed on or near the road to support the construction of the Mid Cornwall Metro.
It will come into force on September 4 and likely expire on March 31, 2027.
An alternative route will be signposted on site.
FOWEY: Tower Park in Fowey is set to be closed between September 14 and September 15 between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm in order for footway patching works to be undertaken.
The road affected is Tower Park between No 23 and No 29.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained.
FOWEY: Water Lane in Fowey is set to be closed between September 15 for one day.
The closure will be in place between 7.30am and 5pm and is necessary to enable tree works to be undertaken.
The road affected is Water Lane from the junction with Church Hill to the junction with access to South Torfrey Farm.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
NEWQUAY: Tredagon Road in Newquay is set to be closed between September 14 and September 18, it has been confirmed.
Cornwall Council say it is necessary for ducting and chamber installation works with the restrictions in traffic being 24 hours a day during those dates.
The stretch of road affected is from Marver Cottage to the Scarlet Hotel.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties in the impacted area will be maintained.
LISKEARD: Tremeddan Lane in Liskeard is set to be closed on September 15 and September 16 between 8am and 6pm.
The affected properties are on Tremeddan Lane between properties 1 and 7.
It is to enable Circet TM to undertake pole replacement works in the affected area.
