PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
Council propose to dispose of land
CORNWALL Council has confirmed plans to dispose of land under its ownership in St Day.
It has issued a statutory public notice informing residents of its intentions for the parcels of land, which is held as public land in the parish of St Day.
There are four parcels of land in the parish which are subject to the proposals, namely Derelict Land at Buckingham Terrace, St Day, Redruth, TR16 5NA; Carew Road Playing Field, St Day, Redruth, TR16 5LA, Land adjacent to St Day Clock Tower, Market Square, St Day, Redruth, TR16 5JX and St Day Playing Field, St Day, Redruth, TR16 5PB Trenant Estate Amenity Land, St Day, Redruth, TR16 5NF.
Cornwall Council has said that it terms to ‘devolve’ the ownership of the four public usage land parcels to St Day Parish Council, which, if the plans go ahead would become responsible for the maintenance of the public spaces.
Waiting restrictions
PROPOSALS to introduce waiting restrictions in St Erth have been put out for consultation.
Cornwall Council has confirmed it intends to make an order introducing the restrictions in Boscarnek, St Erth.
Residents are being invited to state support or objections to the proposals, with details available on the Public Notice Portal.
Licence application
TWO extra lorries could be sited at an operating centre near Bodmin if a licensing application to Cornwall Council is successful.
W G D Rogers and Sons Haulage Limited have lodged a licensing application with Cornwall Council seeking permission to site an additional two goods vehicles and trailers at a grain storage site on the outskirts of Lanivet.
The location of the site subject to the operation licence is Kernow Grain Limited, Newgate Farm, Lanivet, Cornwall, PL30 5HX.
