PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
CAMBORNE: Church View Road in Camborne is set to be closed to traffic between September 14 and October 3.
The lengthy road closure is necessary for water connection works to be undertaken by South West Water.
The portion of the road affected is Church View Road in Camborne between the properties known as numbers 73a and number 55.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties in the affected area will be maintained for the duration of the closure.
FOWEY: Tower Park in Fowey is set to be closed between September 14 and September 15 between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm in order for footway patching works to be undertaken.
The road affected is Tower Park between No 23 and No 29.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to properties will be maintained.
LOOE: Castle Street in East Looe is set to be closed between September 28 and October 3.
Cornwall Council has confirmed that the closure is necessary for Kier, contractors for South West Water to undertake repairs to a defective sewer connection.
The prohibition on through traffic will be in force for 24 hours a day, weekends included.
Castle Street in East Looe will be closed for its entire length, although access will be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles to properties in the affected area.
LISKEARD: Culverland Road in Liskeard is set to be closed between September 17 and September 18.
The closure will be in force to enable Circet TM to undertake pole replacement works between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
The road affected is Culverland Road between grid reference SX 24897 65718 and Trevecca Cemetery.
Pedestrian access to properties in the affected area will be maintained.
PENSILVA: Higher Road in Pensilva is set to be closed between September 14 and September 18, Cornwall Council has confirmed.
It is to enable National Grid to undertake cabling and pole removal works in the area of Higher Road between the grid reference SX 28220 69789 and the junction with Trelawney Gardens.
