PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.

Licence application

TRURO: AN application for the granting of a new premises licence has been submitted to Cornwall Council for a venue in Truro.

The Green has submitted a licence application for the granting of a new premises licence for their venue at The Green, Haven House, Quay Street, Truro TR1 2UY

As part of the present requirements for the licensing of the sale and consumption of alcohol, businesses are required to advertise their proposals in a local newspaper in order that residents can be informed and make representations in respect of it.

The variation would, if granted, permit the sale of alcohol for consumption on the premises and authorise regulated entertainment (live and recorded music) between the hours of 08:00 and 23:00, Monday to Sunday.

Vehicle licensing

FALMOUTH: MIJ Transportation Ltd of 29 Mongleath Avenue, Falmouth, Cornwall TR11 4PP has applied for an operating centre for a goods vehicle licence.

It is seeking to use MIJ Transportation LTD, Chyenhall, Burnthouse, St Gluvias, Penryn, Cornwall TR10 9AS as an operating centre for one goods vehicle and one trailer.

As part of the present requirements for the licensing of the sale and consumption of alcohol, businesses are required to advertise their proposals in a local newspaper in order that residents can be informed.

In this instance, owners or occupiers of land, including buildings near the operating centre who believe that there will be an impact on their enjoyment and use of the land are asked to make representations to the Traffic Commissioner within 21 days of November 5, 2025.
