PLANS to demolish a house in Newquay with views over Fistral Beach and build two residential properties on the site have been approved.

The scheme involves knocking down 5, Pentire Avenue and dividing the plot to construct the new properties.

The planning statement said: “The applicant wishes to divide the existing site in two and provide two dwellings to a high standard.

“The dwelling to the south of the site will be sold on to finance the project and the applicant intends to occupy the replacement dwelling to the north.

“The replacement dwelling will occupy the area of the existing dwelling and the new dwelling to the south will be in line with previous similar developments in the immediate area. No alterations are necessary for vehicular access.”
