PLANS are proposed to convert a hotel in Newquay into a large house of multiple occupancy.

A planning application has been submitted for a change of use from The Three Tees Hotel in Carminow Way to a large house of multiple occupancy.

Guy Quint in public comments stated: “The property is currently licensed as a house in multiple occupation by Private Sector Housing.

“The current HMO licence permits the property to be occupied by nine persons forming nine households. The property has a sufficient level of amenity provision in accordance with the council's amenity standards for licensed houses in multiple occupation to support this number of occupants. We would therefore support the application as submitted for a change of use to a large HMO.”
