PUBLIC notices cover a range of applications, ranging from licensing applications for liqueur or entertainment to planning applications, roadworks and other works. Their intention is to inform communities of the latest plans in their area and such applications are considered for approval or refusal by local authorities. Here are some of the latest applications submitted to Cornwall Council.
Cornwall Council say that the closure of Footpath 36 and Footpath 38 is due to the ‘likelihood of danger to the public during Boardmasters Festival 2026’.
The two footpaths cover the access to the road leading to Lower Trewince Farm and on thr Trevelgue Farm private road in addition to a footpath on Watergate Road.
There will be an alternative route signed on site.
FRADDON: There will be a ban on vehicles stopping on a stretch of road in Fraddon from July 27 to September 18.
The roads subject to the stopping prohibition are the road from Barton Lane to Fraddon Hill in Fraddon from the junction with Parka Road to the junction of Willowbank.
The prohibition will be in place between 7am and 6pm.
Any vehicle contravening the order may receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) and could be removed from the site.
The restrictions are in place to enable highways improvement works to be undertaken in the area. An alternative route will be signposted on site.
LISKEARD: Pengover Road in Liskeard is set to be closed between July 27 and August 7.
It is to enable cabling works to be undertaken.
The stretch of the road affected on Pengover Road is between the junction of the A390 and the property known as Former Hillview.
An alternative route will be sign posted while pedestrian and vehicular access will be maintained.
WADEBRIDGE: Bishops Hill Road in Wadebridge is set to be closed for one day in mid July.
The closure will be in place on July 15 between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm.
It is to enable poling works to be undertaken, with the road affected being Bishops Hill Road in Wadebridge from the junction with Clifden Drive to the junction with Tinners Way.

Pedestrian and vehicle access will be maintained to properties but there is no alternative diversionary route.
