The St Enoder parish has received £112,000 funds from developer’s contributions to enhance the community.

Cornwall Council’s Community Interest Levy has awarded Indian Queens Under-Fives Pre-School £70,000 and Fraddon Millennium Green Trust £42,000.

The pre-school will use the grant to improve their building. The cladding around the exterior of the structure has been failing for a number of years, and the award will fund new external cladding.

The internal walls of the centre will also be improved, a new non-slip floor surface will be installed, and the kitchen area refurbished.

The scheme has also been supported with a £5,000 grant from the Cornwall Community Foundation and a pledge of a similar amount from St Enoder Parish Council

The funds awarded the Fraddon Millennium Green Trust will be used to refresh the play area in the park.

The money will be spent on installing a wooden tractor and trailer slide in the location of the locomotive that had to be removed and the replacement of the existing safety surfacing across the park with a newer “wet-pour” surface. The enhancements will link to a wider tidy-up of the general area.

The initiative is also being supported with financial support from St Enoder Parish Council.
