PLAYERS were bowled over by the efforts of a Newquay school’s cricket team.

Year 3/4 and 5/6 teams from St Columb Minor Academy came away with four wins out of four at the Newquay Schools Network Cricket Festival, which was held at Newquay Cricket Club.

They had a fun filled day competing against other schools in the Newquay area ( )

PE teacher Andrew Robey said: “The pupils had a fun-filled day competing against other schools in the Newquay area.

“It was an awesome performance by the year 3/4 and 5/6 teams who came away with four wins out of four.

“A big thank you to Cornwall Cricket and Newquay Schools Network for providing such a great event for everyone to take part in.”
