ONE of the greatest rugby players of all time is set to make an appearance in Newquay.

Former New Zealand rugby union player Sean Fitzpatrick is visiting to talk about his career, which will be held at Lusty Glaze beach on Wednesday, October 29.

He made his debut for the All Blacks in 1986 and went on to win 92 international caps. He was part of the New Zealand side that won the first Rugby World Cup in 1987 and captained the side from 1992 until his retirement in 1997.

A spokesperson for Lusty Glaze said: “We’re super excited and proud to be hosting a very special, once in a lifetime evening with New Zealand rugby icon Sean Fitzpatrick.

“The event will take place just days before the All Blacks take the field in the UK for the autumn Internationals.

“Join Sean Fitzpatrick for an insider’s view of what it takes to lead one of the greatest teams in sporting history. It will be a night where the passion of international rugby meets the precision of world-class leadership.

“Hosted on the golden sands of Lusty Glaze Beach, and preceded by an unbelievable seafood banquet, the event will bring together passionate rugby fans for an unforgettable evening of connection, conversation, and insight. Tickets are very limited.”
