LOCAL historian, photograph collector and Voice reader Barrie Doney has no shortage of pictures and stories from Cornwall’s past, which he shares with Voice Newspaper readers every week.

This week’s photograph takes us to a flood over a century ago in Bodmin.

Barrie says of this photograph: "Floods never go away. This is one of the areas in Bodmin that suffers in heavy rain because of the leat that runs through the town. This was the flood of 1906 on Crockwell Street and at the bottom of Pool Street also gets flooded.”
