RNLI Lifeguards patrolling the beaches in the Newquay area have been recognised for carrying out outstanding rescues.

Harry Pleasants, Sonny Timson and Gabe Llewellyn were presented with chief executive commendations from the RNLI for their actions during a challenging mass rescue of 17 casualties at Fistral Beach on July 26, 2025.

Riley Mee, Theresa Morokutti and Agustin Lanzavecchia were awarded with chief executive commendations from the RNLI for their actions during a challenging rescue at Mawgan Porth Beach on May 28, 2025.
