A MISSING dog has been reunited with its owner in Newquay after being rescued from a cliff edge.
Pip, a collie cross, was being taken for a walk in the town when she ran off after becoming scared by the sound of a motorbike on Thursday, October 1, which led to members of the community joining in the search.

Freddie Smith, the owner of Newquay Coasteering, spotted Pip stranded on cliffs at the Gazzle two days later and raised the alarm.
Members of Newquay Coastguard Search and Rescue Team managed to coax Pip to safety with the help of her grateful owner Diane Bogle and a tin of dog food.
Diane said: “We got a call from the RNLI after some coasteerers spotted her lead hanging from the side of a rock right down by the bottom of the rocks underneath a huge bolder below the coastal path near the Headland Hotel.
“My little girl is now home safe and sound. We’re absolutely overwhelmed and can’t thank everyone enough. I will be eternally grateful for everyone’s effort and diligence.
“To everyone who searched, shared our posts and offered their help, thank you so, so much. A huge, special thank you to the coasteerers who found her, the RNLI and the coastguards. Everyone did an absolutely amazing job.
“My family and I have been bowled over by everyone’s kindness. We’re just so grateful to have her home.”
Freddie said: “We were out on a coasteer when we found Pip during the session.
“When we got near the dog became quite distressed so we decided not to approach further.
“We called the coastguard and showed them the location. The owner was only five minutes behind. The coastguard took the owner down to the rocks by the water’s edge.It was really nice how they handled it.”
A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard said: “Fortunately, Pip located uninjured, safe and well. We would like to thank everyone for their help.”
