NEWQUAY’S RBL Poppy Appeal Concert will be held in St Michael’s Church on Friday, November 7 (7pm).
Newquay Band, Newquay Male Voice Choir, Newquay Rowing Club Singers, Oll an Gwella and the St Mawgan Military Wives Choir, along with special contributions from Bill Mander and Tony Mills, will all be offering their tribute to those who have served in the military, especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
There will be a raffle and a retiring collection all in aid of the RBL Poppy Appeal. The concert will be followed by a remembrance ceremony in which the RBL standard will be paraded, led by piper Nigel Warmington.
Both the Vow and the Kohima Epitaph will be recited, accompanied by the Last Post and Reveille, before the evening closes with the congregational singing of Land of Hope and Glory and the National Anthem.
