NEW public footpaths have been created on a green overlooking a popular Newquay beach.
Corserve have built extra paths at Esplanade Green at South Fistral following people using the routes as unofficial routes.
It follows the Esplanade path Project, which was a collaborative effort involving several organisations to create safer, accessible footpaths and viewing areas overlooking South Fistral Beach
Councillor Joanna Kenny said: “Many thanks to Corserve for finding the resources to do the work so quickly and as an extra.
“We didn’t include the paths in the original project.
“We thought it might be too much of a jigsaw but promptly got some very muddy wish paths and damaged turf.
“It looks good now and I can’t spot the difference with the original paths and already well used.”
