A new path is being created in Newquay to help connect new housing developments.
The walkway will be created to connect the Treveth, Trevithick and Gioldings estates to the back of Morrisons supermarket by the “end of summer.”
Councillor Drew Creek said: “From the new housing estates there is a new pedestrian crossing with traffic lights that leads people to a very muddy walkway that takes you out to the back of Morrisons.
“It is well used by many people living on those estates. It is an oversight in terms of Cornwall Council and developers not creating the path in the first place.
“Wanting to connect those communities properly we are getting a path installed. It is nice to get the commitment the work will be done before winter.”
