STUNNING colour-changing uplighting has been installed at Newquay Harbour to celebrate the natural beauty of the area.

Newquay BID has erected the new lighting to enhance the cliffs behind the harbour businesses.

The scheme, which has been funded through the Town Deal initiative, can be seen from vantage points across Newquay.

The project has been a community effort made possible through close collaboration with harbour businesses and the Harbour Masters office.

Newquay BID manager Mark Warren believes the new lighting brings a “magical” new visual dimension to “one of the town’s most iconic and beloved locations.”

Mr Warren said: "We have a stunning harbour in Newquay and should celebrate its beauty. Adding lighting to the cliffs creates a truly magical display and can be seen from all around the coast across Newquay. We will continue to add lighting, especially around key times like Christmas, to really celebrate our fabulous Newquay Harbour."

Amie Bradshaw, the general manager at The Boathouse, said: “The lights look great across the harbour creating a stunning visual effect, this has enhanced the lovely evening atmosphere, our customers are welcoming this new addition to the harbour.”

The project is part of BID’s wider effort to enhance the town’s visual appeal and promote Newquay as a year-round destination for both residents and visitors. The lighting will serve as a permanent feature, with the flexibility to tailor the display for seasonal events and special occasions.
