The first-ever Newquay Harbour Festival took place on Saturday providing a day of excitement and entertainment for all visitors.  

The festival aimed to celebrate the vibrant and bustling Newquay Harbour, bringing together local bands, artists, and a variety of activities. 

The event was attended by a diverse crowd, with families of all ages coming together to enjoy the festivities. Throughout the day, local bands such as the Clams and the Cornish Caretakers took to the stage, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere.  

Cooking demonstrations also kept visitors entertained, showcasing culinary skills using fresh local produce and engaging the adults in fun activities. 

The event received positive feedback from both locals and visitors alike that were excited to describe it as an enjoyable community-focused event that celebrated the harbour and brought the community together. 

Amie Bradshaw, the general manager at The Boathouse, said: “Thanks to everyone who was a part of the festival              and those who joined us on the day to cherish our historic harbour.

The Newquay BID manager, Mark Warren, said: “The Newquay Harbour is a significant cornerstone of our town and we were so excited to see the support from locals and visitors to experience the variety that Newquay has to offer. 

“We’re really keen to make this festival a key part of Newquay’s calendar for years to come.” 

The Newquay Harbour Festival aims to be an annual celebration that brings together food enthusiasts, music lovers, families seeking adventure, and those who appreciate the beauty of the sea.
