A motorcyclist from St Austell was critically injured in a collision on the old A30 at Goss Moor yesterday (June 13).
Emergency services were called at 3.10pm following the collision between a white Yamaha motorcycle and a grey Land Rover Freelander at the crossroads near to the Iron Bridge.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance.
The road was closed in both directions for around eight hours for officers to conduct a forensic examination of the scene.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and requesting any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police to get in touch. They are also appealing for any relevant dashcam footage.
