With Easter already behind us, we’re blessed with sunshine for this weekend’s bank holiday—perfect for enjoying all our town has to offer. Don’t miss the monthly market on the Killacourt this Saturday, also a great chance to support local businesses in our vibrant Retail Quarter.

Last week, I joined Imagine Outdoors at Newquay Orchard to help shift woodchip for their new activity base—a testament to our community’s spirit. Their recently built shelter will benefit countless children, and it was heartwarming to see so many lend a hand. My own family are huge fans of Matt ‘Pinky’ Tolson’s brilliant bushcraft sessions, which make our Orchard even more special.

Finally, a reminder that Cornwall Council elections are underway. This is your chance to shape the next four years—please exercise your right to vote. Remember to bring photo ID to the polling station. However you choose to spend the weekend, I hope it’s a joyful one.
