A man in his 90s has died after suffering serious burns in a property in Newquay.
Police were called by Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service to Henver Road just after 8:30am today (January 26).
The elderly man, described as "local", was taken Treliske Hospital by ambulance, but he later died.
No-one else was injured during the incident.
The man's next of kin have been informed and this death isn’t being treated as suspicious.
The police said: "Officers continue to undertake enquiries into this matter on behalf of the coroner."
