A LIFEBOAT day is being staged in a Cornish port on bank holiday Monday, May 5.
Mevagissey Lifeboat Day 2025 will take place between 11am and 4pm.
Events and activities on the jetty will include live music, water safety demonstrations and games for all of the family.
The Jubilee Hall will be hosting an illustrated talk by Marcus Lewis, a former Fowey Lifeboat crew member, at 11.30am. The talk is entitled “200 years of the lifeboat in St Austell Bay”.
During the day, homemade refreshments will be available at the hall.
There will be a lifeboat display at Mevagissey Museum and a yellow welly treasure hunt will be run by the RNLI shop which will be open between 10am and 4pm.
