HOSPITALITY businesses in Newquay are being given the opportunity to help protect the industry in the town.
Newquay BID is inviting local hospitality businesses to attend a roundtable meeting with Newquay MP Noah Law to discuss key challenges facing the hospitality sector, which will be held on Friday, October 3.
Issues on the agenda include lower business rates, fixing national insurance contributions to boost jobs and cutting VAT on hospitality.
Newquay BID manager Mark Warren said: “There will be an opportunity to talk about the #TaxedOut campaign recently launched by UK Hospitality, which is an initiative, supported by Cornwall BIDs and British BIDs, aimed at highlighting the unfair disadvantage faced by hospitality businesses particularly in towns like Newquay, where huge summer peaks are followed by sharp winter drops.
“Your voice matters. Let’s stand together to support and protect Newquay’s hospitality industry.”
