FIRE crews were able to prevent a tractor fire spreading to an adjacent barn near Camborne yesterday evening (Wednesday, May 14).

Firefighters from Tolvaddon and Hayle were called to the blaze at Higher Kehelland just after 5pm.

Large amounts of black smoke led to multiple calls for this incident which took place near the A30 Camborne westbound.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

A spokesperson from Cornwall Fire and Rescue said: “Crews from Tolvaddon and Hayle attended a fire involving a tractor and a single storey agricultural building. Extinguished using 2 BA, 2 HR and short extension ladder. Accidental ignition.”
