An event to help local families will be taking place on Friday, October 24 at Humphry Davy School in Penzance.

Hosted by Andrew George MP, the Community Action Festival is a free, family-friendly event that will bring together local organisations and residents to raise awareness of the wide range of support available in the community, particularly around wellbeing and cost-of-living challenges.

The festival, which runs from 12 noon to 6pm, will feature stalls from local groups offering advice, resources, and connections, alongside a variety of free activities and attractions. Free, freshly cooked, healthy food will also be available for attendees throughout.

The Community Action Festival promises to be a fun and informative day out for families and individuals alike, combining entertainment with opportunities to discover valuable local services and resources.

Andrew said: “This event is about bringing the community together, making connections, and ensuring people know where to turn for support.

“I’m enormously grateful to the many local charities, public agencies and advice organisations who are joining me to put on this impressive half-term event filled with fun, food, and community spirit.

“Over 30 organisations, demonstrating the wealth of talent, support and help available to help everyone in our local communities. If you’re part of an organisation which hasn’t heard from my office yet, and would like to join us, please get in touch.”
