THE family of a woman from Higher Fraddon who died following a collision near Newquay have paid tribute.
Patricia Simmons, aged 88, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital but sadly passed away as a result of her injuries following the road traffic accident, which involved her red Ford Fiesta and a yellow JCB Fastrac tractor on the A392 at White Acres on Wednesday, November 26 at about 9.50am.
Paying tribute her family said: “Patricia Simmons, aged 88 and resident of Higher Fraddon, was involved in a vehicle collision on the morning of Wednesday 26th November on the A392 near Newquay. Unfortunately and sadly she succumbed to her injuries the next day. She leaves behind a husband, four children, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.”
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses of the incident, or anybody with relevant dash-cam footage to get in touch via 101 or the police website quoting reference 50250303279.
