ROCK band The Alive and guest drummer Shane Hawkins are set hit the stage at The Great Estate.

In between surf and skate sessions, The Alive formed in California in 2018 and have quickly risen through the ranks of rock bands, bringing their infectious energy to festivals such as BottleRock, Shaky Knees, Ohana Fest, and Boardmasters UK.

The band also had the honour of opening for Foo Fighters at Lollapalooza Chile 2022 and has performed alongside Jimmy Eat World, The Hives, Infectious Grooves, and more. With influences from classic rock to modern punk, The Alive bring a bold, contemporary sound to their high-energy live shows.

In addition to his main stage performance, Shane Hawkins accompanied by Miles Elze, the powerhouse drummer of The Alive, will be hosting an exclusive drum clinic in the Manor House on Saturday afternoon before their set. Renowned for his fearless drumming style and stage presence, Shane is a rising star in the rock drumming world.

A member of Chevy Metal, Hawkins has also toured with punk band FEAR and recently sat in with Foo Fighters and Royal Blood during his UK visits. Hawkins’ setup is as sharp as his skills. Whether locking into a deep pocket or tearing through a blistering solo, Shane is non-stop power, precision, and passion.

As the drummer of The Alive, Miles is known for his impeccable timing, deep feel, and explosive stage presence. Elze has toured and recorded with a variety of artists including Suicidal Tendencies, Grandson, and Puddle of Mudd, proving his ability to move seamlessly across genres. Whether locked into a groove or hammering out a solo, Miles brings musicality, control, professionalism, and positive energy to every performance.

Before their main stage set, Hawkins and Miles will host an exclusive drum clinic for guests, giving a unique opportunity to learn from rock’s rising stars.

As Shane shares his insights and experiences from his time playing with legends like Foo Fighters and Chevy Metal, Miles will give fans a behind-the-kit experience sharing techniques, stories from the road, and plenty of beats.

Whether festival guests are aspiring drummers or simply fans of powerful live performances, the clinic promises to be an inspiring and educational experience.
