AUDIENCE members can get ready to party like it’s 1999 at the Regal Theatre in Redruth on Thursday, February 26.

Boyband in the Buff, which is the ultimate throwback concert, stars pop heartthrob Gareth Gates and a cast of talented performers who have done lots of West End shows.

With nothing but harmonies and dance moves, the boys belt out the biggest hits of the ‘90s and ‘00s - from The Backstreet Boys to NSYNC, Blue to Take That, in a nostalgic show show which is a celebration of pop.

Speaking to the Voice, Gareth said: “The idea for this show came from my love of pop and boyband music. There has been a resurgence of those big boybands coming back - The Backstreet Boys have got a residency in Las Vegas, Five are doing a massive tour with all their original members and we’re tapping into that.”

“My love for boyband music has grown and grown over the years since I was a kid. I always wanted to be in bands like Westlife, Take That or NSYNC and I grew up in that golden era of pop in the late 90s and early naughties.”

“I’m producing this show entirely myself. I got into producing last year and produced my first ever theatre show which was a tribute to Frankie Valli. Producing was always something I wanted to get into and next year I’m involved with four or five different shows including this one.”

“This show is a bit of fun done very tastefully and there will be lots of chances to singalong with songs. I’m really looking forward to being back down in Cornwall and bringing this very fun and very high energy show to the people of Redruth.”
