WORLD Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker is back and more full of wonder than ever.
After repeatedly going viral with his equal parts heartfelt and humorous poetry videos online, this year he has added more dates in a mixture of old faves and brand new places, with his new and improved show: Wonderful 2.0.
He will be at the Acorn Theatre in Penzance on May 22 and St Michael's in Newquay on May 23.
Celebrating friendship, wellies, postcodes and fertility journeys, his combination of playfulness, vulnerability and irrepressible hope has reached millions online and now he is back for more.
Building on last year’s 35-date sellout run, Wonderful 2.0 hopes to make you cry with laughter, laugh through tears, or dream scenario both. The show will contain a mixture of everyone’s favourite poems as well as brand new material, celebrating what a thing it is to live a life.
The poet, mathematician, stand-up comedian and writer is the youngest ever World Poetry Slam Champion has performed all over the world, from a sold out Dubai Opera House to headlining the Poet’s Revival last year at the Royal Albert Hall.
He is a firm festival favourite at the likes of Glastonbury, Latitude and Greenbelt. In recent months his honest, heartfelt and hopeful poems have cut through the fog of social media to reach over 20-million people on Instagram and TikTok. His favourite place to be is still on stage in front of an audience sharing his words in person.
This tour will contain poems from Harry’s third collection of Poetry (also called Wonderful) published in May 2024. Copies will be available at gigs as well as all good bookshops.
