FANS of comics, games, films, anime and popular culture can look forward to a weekend celebration that’s out of this world at Cornwall's new Geek Expo festival.
Visitors can hold onto their lightsaber and dust off their cosplay costumes to experience the magic of geek culture at Geek Expo 2025 which is arriving at Stithians Showground on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31 from 10am to 4.30pm.
The fan-driven family-friendly festival is set to be fun for all ages, with activities and entertainment that includes Viking re-enactment battles, frontier village, lightsaber combat academy, archery, airsoft target range, amusement rides, cosplay competitions, video games and even a Steampunk dog show.
Additional activities include lip sync and dance battles, lastertag, crazy golf, axe throwing, tea pt racing, art competitions, face painting and gardens games.
While walking around the showground, visitors won’t be surprised to bump into some Mandalorians, Star Wars characters or any number of other personnel from popular TV and films.
The event featuring celebrity panels, cosplay contests, exclusive previews, artist alleys, and a marketplace full of collectibles.
There'll also be numerous traders on site specialising in geek and fantasy merchandise, while food vans will also be on site and the event bar will be open all day.
The new comic con in Cornwall provides a great opportunity for visitors to meet fellow fans, express their fandom, and experience the magic of geek culture - whether a long-time fan or new to the world of comics.
An after-dark party on the Saturday night (7pm to midnight) will include live music, drag queen acts followed by a silent disco.
