THE Duke’s Theatre Company's production of Macbeth, which offers a dynamic reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, is coming to Cornish venues later this year.

Known for their bold and innovative interpretations, the company brings a contemporary edge to the dark tale of ambition, murder, and madness.

With a strong focus on the psychological unravelling of the protagonists, this adaptation takes The Duke’s into a new era of open-air Summer touring.

The production will be coming to Trelissick Gardens on September 3, Scorrier House on September 4, Trebah Gardens on September 5 and 6 and the Minack Theatre from September 8 to 11.

Finnbar Hayman returns to The Duke’s to play the title role of Macbeth, with Marilyn Nnadebe as Lady Macbeth.

Further casting includes Alasdair James McLaughlin as Macduff, James Lavender as Duncan and Joseph Black as Banquo, Ross and Third Witch.

Also returning to The Duke's this year William Marr will play Malcolm, Fleance and Second Witch and Jenni Walker plays Lady Macduff and First Witch. All other roles will be played by members of the company.

The production is directed by Robert Shaw Cameron with set and costume design by Jessica Curtis.
