MEMBERS of the local community are being invited to shop sustainably and support a worthy cause at a charity thrift shop in St Austell.
The pop-up event, which is in aid of Children's Hospice South West (CHSW), will take place at St Austell Brewery's visitor centre on Friday, October 9 from 12pm to 5pm.
The shop, which is part of the brewery’s first Sustainability Week, will allow shoppers to browse a range of clothing, accessories, books and household items, with all products priced between £1 and £5.
All profits raised will be donated directly to CHSW, helping the charity continue its vital work supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
Any unsold items remaining after the event will be donated to CHSW's charity shops across the South West.
Emily Coon, sustainability manager at St Austell Brewery, said: "We're delighted to be hosting this thrift shop in support of Children's Hospice South West.
“As well as raising valuable funds for an incredible local charity, the event is a great opportunity to give pre-loved items a new home and encourage more sustainable shopping habits.
“We hope colleagues and members of the community will come along, pick up a bargain and help make a difference.”
