YOUNG ADVENTURERS can join Swashbuckling Cornwall for a month of ‘Art’efacts this August at The Poly in Falmouth.

Step into the past and ignite your child's imagination in this unique, interactive workshop. Youngsters are being invited to explore real and replica artefacts from around the world and across human history.

Each week there will be two workshops one for ages 5 to 7 (10.15am) and another for ages 8 to 12 (11.45am) with themes changing each week:

  • Ancient World - Friday, August 1 and Friday, August 22.
  • Medieval - Wednesday, August 13.
  • Pirates - Friday, August 8 and Thursday, August 28.

The workshop will talk about, examine and touch a range of artefacts before drawing, painting, colouring or finding other ways to capture them.

Parents can choose to sit with their child at the main table or relax nearby in the Parent Corner. While the children dive into a world of wonder, grown-ups can enjoy the atmosphere and watch the creative sparks fly.

Whether your child is a budding artist, a young historian, or simply curious about the world, this workshop promises to be a great way to fuel their curiosity and encourage creative thinking.

All children must be accompanied by an adult (max three children per one adult). Each participating child will need a ticket.

Tickets can be booked via The Poly website at thepoly.org/whats-on/workshops or in person at the Box Office or on the phone 01326 319 461.
