EMERGENCY services were scrambled after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman on a Newquay headland on Sunday (March 22).

Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team, HM Coastguard Padstow, the police and ambulance service were tasked to the incident on Glendorgal Headland at around 11.50am.

Police stated the incident was safely resolved at around 1.45pm.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the Lusty Glaze area of Newquay following reports of concern for the welfare of a woman.

“The incident was safely resolved.”

A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard added: “All assets were stood down once the incident was resolved.”
