Truro School is delighted to welcome the wider community to its annual Community Day on Saturday (June 20) from midday to 9pm, promising a family-friendly celebration packed with entertainment, performances and fun for all ages.
Community Day brings together pupils, staff, families, alumni and visitors for a day of live music, interactive activities, food, entertainment and community spirit across the Truro School site.
Adventure seekers can test their skills with climbing and archery sessions delivered by Vertical Blue, while colourful circus workshops from Cirk Hes and Hotch Potch Performance offer opportunities to learn new tricks and skills.
There will be roaming entertainment from mathematical magician Jon Martin, as well as street performers, buskers, live music acts and community showcases.
One of the event's most popular attractions, the Little Eden Entertainment Bounce Parc, will transform the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre into a giant inflatable fun zone. A dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) and toddler session will be held before the main event, ensuring an inclusive experience for younger visitors and those who prefer a quieter environment.
Main stage entertainment continues into the evening with a family silent disco, a special Truro School Showcase and a headline performance from popular funk and soul band Groove Diggers.
Guests will also be able to browse a range of artisan stalls, enjoy football displays, swimming pool inflatables, treasure hunts and many more family-friendly activities.
Food and drink will be available throughout the day, including traditional Cornish pasties, barbecue favourites, pizza, street food, cakes, ice cream, candy floss and popcorn. From 5pm, additional street food vendors and bar facilities will be available as the event transitions into an evening celebration.
