STUDENTS from Richard Lander School celebrated the end of Year 11 on Friday, July 3. Students began Leavers’ Day in fancy dress with a celebratory breakfast, a special awards assembly and inflatable obstacle courses.
The year group paraded through a guard of honour, applauded by staff and younger students, before departing on coaches to prepare for the evening event at Falmouth’s Princess Pavilion. The Cornish Catering Company provided a delicious buffet, while DJ Jamie Reed kept the dancefloor packed all night.
Head of year Scott Bernado said: “This cohort holds a unique place in the school’s history, having joined together in 2021 as the country emerged from national lockdowns. These students have developed incredible resilience, positivity, work ethic, maturity and kindness; they’ll be deeply missed by the entire school community.”
