DEMOLITION is under way at Truro’s Pydar site, marking the start of the next phase of preparation works to transform the area into a new community.
The building that formerly housed Truro Bowl is currently being taken down, alongside Circuit House and the former Hardy Carpets and Roseland Furniture stores. The site is expected to be fully cleared by the end of the year.
Over recent months, expert contractors have been safely removing materials such as asbestos and utility services in preparation for this work.
The Pydar site is now owned and managed by Treveth Developments LLP, Cornwall Council’s arms-length housing development company which is renowned for delivering new homes and commercial spaces for the benefit of people who live and work in the county.
