REPORTS were received at 4.30pm on Wednesday, October 2, that Cornwall Fire and Rescue service were actively managing a large fire involving green waste in the Falmouth area.
Crews took appropriate action alongside partner agencies to minimise the impact to residents and the environment.
A Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “As there will be varying smoke levels for some time, residents may want to keep their windows and doors closed as a precaution - particularly individuals with conditions like asthma. If anyone experiences new or worsening symptoms, they are advised to contact their GP or NHS 111.”
