An opticians in Penzance has been named Branch of the Year.

The Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care team on The Terrace secured the prestigious award at the company's annual conference. Since 1938, the family-run opticians has grown to 166 branches nationwide.

Branch manager Mark Hounsell said: "We're absolutely thrilled. This is a real team effort and I'm so proud of everyone. We work hard to create a welcoming environment where customers feel genuinely cared for and it's wonderful to have that recognised."

The award recognises branches that consistently go above and beyond, combining clinical excellence in eye and hearing care with outstanding customer service and team spirit.

Scrivens chairman Nicholas Georgevic praised the winning branch: "Our people make Scrivens what it is, and this branch is a perfect example of that. They've demonstrated outstanding customer service and we're incredibly proud of their achievement."
