MEMBERS of the Foresters Court Pendennis gathered for a delightful and highly sociable lunch at Falmouth’s Royal Duchy Hotel recently.
The event, which has become something of a tradition, saw attendees enjoying not only great company but also a truly sumptuous three course meal.
The meal featured locally sourced ingredients accompanied by a variety of seasonal vegetables, followed by a tempting array of desserts and cheeses and finished off with coffee, tea, and chocolate mints to round out the experience.
A special moment of the day was when the group came together to celebrate the 75th birthday of David Henn, a longstanding member from The Lizard, with a round of applause and well wishes from all in attendance.

Gary Webber, the dedicated secretary of the Devon and Cornwall Area, Court Pendennis and Court Goodwill, played a key role in organising this memorable event.
Reflecting on the meal, Gary shared: "This lunch was partially subsidised for our members as part of our commitment to providing social opportunities and benefits for our Foresters community. It’s one of the many ways we strive to make membership rewarding whether through social events like this or through the support we offer our members."
The event also provided a glimpse into the future, as Court Pendennis officers are set to meet soon to begin planning celebrations for Court Pendennis's 165th anniversary in 2026 marking over a century and a half of service to its members.
The Foresters Friendly Society continues to thrive, with a wealth of social events already scheduled for the year ahead.
