KEEN gardeners are being invited to showcase their cultivation creations in Newquay’s annual garden competition.

Newquay in Bloom has various categories to enter in its free competition including private garden, wildlife friendly garden, cottage garden, vegetable garden and allotment.

Lesley Friel from Newquay in Bloom said: “Calling all green thumbs, budding horticulturists, and creative cultivators.

“Newquay in Bloom Garden Competition invites the community to come together to celebrate the beauty of nature and showcase our blooming talents.

“Whether residents or businesses have a sprawling garden or a cosy balcony, this competition is for them.

“Judges love coming around and looking at the various gardens in the community. We would like to see more businesses enter this year’s competition. It could just be their hanging baskets or containers.

“The judging criteria is creativity, sustainability, and the sheer joy your garden brings to passers-by. Let's turn Newquay into a floral wonderland.

“The winners will not just get bragging rights as they will receive recognition, admiration, and a dash of local fame.”

The closing date for entries is June 19 and judging will take place on June 25 and 26.

To enter fill in and submit entry forms direct from Newquay in Bloom’s Facebook page or contact Lesley on 07837 743016.
