A COMMUNITY garden in Newquay was abuzz for its popular summer fayre.

Hundreds of people enjoyed a jam-packed line-up of family-friendly activities at Newquay Orchard on Saturday, June 13.

Grown-ups and little ones alike got to revel in arts and crafts, outdoor shows, live music, delicious fare, insightful talks, workshops and wellness activities.

The family fun zone included Imagine Outdoors, Blystra Arts, Alma Arts and Circo Cornwall circus skills while the wellbeing area featured a nature connection walk, Aroma Yoga and a mindfulness taster.

The market was packed with local crafters and community organisations, while the day played out to the sounds of live music from the main stage.

Performers included The Studios, The Velvet Hour, The Wave Machine and Daisy Clark.

The fayre opened with a special Chef's Table event the night before, with Newquay Orchard's head chef Ben Southgate, formerly of Bedruthan Hotel and Rick Stein's, and foraging expert serving up a five-course feast, showcasing produce from Newquay Orchard's market garden.

Charlotte Hill, CEO Newquay Orchard, said: “The sun shone down on Newquay Orchard as the community showed up in their hundreds to delight in our biggest and best summer fayre to date.

“We’re thrilled that the sun came out for this celebration of community showcasing all the wonderful and talented people we have on our doorstep.

“It’s amazing to see what happens when the community truly comes together like this.
