COMMEMORATIONS are being held in Indian Queens to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
A Cornish tea is being staged to mark Victory Over Japan Day at Indian Queens Victory Hall on Sunday, August 17 at 4.30pm.
There will be an illustrated talk by Dick Cole about the 17 servicemen and the one woman from our local area who lost their lives in the conflict. The talk will also cover information about the Home Front between 1939 and 1945.
Entry is by donation.
