A CELEBRATION has been held at St Austell Library to mark the 95th birthday of one of its main supporters.
St Austell mayor Cllr Colin Hamilton and town councillor Andrea Lanxon attended the gathering as Peter Cornall, chairman of SALSA (St Austell Library Supporters Association), celebrated his birthday.
Peter was joined by members of SALSA for the occasion.
Cllr Lanxon said: “A special birthday cake was made for Peter, who has been active within the community in many ways over the years.
“SALSA carries out very successful work, organising a variety of events and activities.”
Meanwhile, a Halloween family bingo session is being run on Monday, October 27, at 6pm in the library. Fancy dress is optional but encouraged. A raffle will be held for SALSA funds.
