Cat-lovers aged 17+ are invited to a Paws and Play games night from 6.30pm and 10.30pm. The relaxed evening of modern board games has been designed to appeal to anyone, from gaming newbies to seasoned veterans, with the £5 entry fee going directly to the charity.

Happy Piranha’s Sam Gaunt said: “We have more than 100 games, from classics like Settlers of Catan to party games, social deduction games and more. We’re happy to teach players new games if they’d like a helping hand to get started.
“We love games and we love cats so it seemed like the perfect combination to host an evening that will help cats who have become homeless through no fault of their own.
“Piranha Café is a space for people to celebrate the things they enjoy with others who share the same sentiment - whether that’s Dungeons & Dragons, knitting, board games, cats or something else!”
The games will be accompanied by the usual tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bubble tea and Cornish ice cream milkshake.
Among the cats to benefit from the evening will be one of the centre’s longest stayers, long-haired all-black Felix. The sweet-natured 14-year-old arrived in care after her owner died. She especially enjoys affection and one-to-one time, greeting members of the centre’s team each morning. She is not keen on dogs or children, and would therefore be best suited to a calm home
