BUSINESSES have joined forces to help people in Newquay who may not be able to afford Christmas presents.

L&K Travel has partnered with J Savage Financial to stage Newquay's Community Christmas at St Michael’s Church on December 22 and 23 from 10am to 2pm.

People have the opportunity to collect toys for their children, food for their families or a gift for a loved one. There are also opportunities to donate towards the event.

Jessica Gardener, the director of L&K Travel, said: “This will be a completely anonymous service.

“People are welcome to come along and get what you need in a safe space. Anyone unable to get to us, we will be offering a delivery service.”
