A DOUBLE-decker bus “clipped” the canopy on the entrance to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro this morning [Thursday, October 9].
A Go Cornwall Bus spokesperson confirmed that service 40 to Truro Bus Station had made contact with the structure at 8.20am.
“There was one passenger on board, and no reported injuries,” the spokesperson continued. “Management have been to the site and held a meeting with the hospital facilities team. An investigation is currently taking place.”
A spokesperson for the Royal Cornwall Hospital said “a small amount of damage” had been caused to the roof canopy. “No one was injured in the incident, and the main entrance is open as normal.”
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed officers were not called to the scene.
