Photographer Marie Lepage said: “Some of the surfers had been following the forecast online for a couple days and made a last minute decision the evening before to paddle the Cribbar early morning as conditions looks good, sunny skies and low wind.
“It was a first time surfing the Cribbar for Jonah McIntyre at only 20-years-old. He came down on the train overnight.
“James Holley drove down early morning from Croyde whilst local veteran big wave surfer Rob Fowlie also paddled as well as Pete McNicols, Pete Geall and Andrew Douglas.
“There were quite a few people on the headland watching the spectacle.
“One surfer got washed towards the rocks but managed to escape as the last minute with only a scraped board.”
