A Beryl electric scooter rider was airlifted to hospital on Monday (August 24). after being involved in a collision in Falmouth.
A local man in his 40s sustained serious injuries in the incident, which happened on Penmere Hill at around 11.15pm. The road was closed until 6am the following morning so that the serious road traffic collision could be investigated.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision which occurred on Penmere Hill, Falmouth.
“Officers were called at around 11.15pm on Monday, August 24, to reports of a collision involving a ‘Beryl’ electric scooter.
“As a result of the collision, the male rider of the e-scooter, a local man in his 40s, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
“Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed. It was reopened just before 6am on Tuesday, August 25.
